I'm so glad it's the weekend! Definitely well-deserved! George, Madeleine and I are traveling to Omak for the weekend to see my family. I'm super excited because I like to visit over there. I've lived in Spokane nearly 10 years, so the prospect of moving back to Omak isn't even registering on the radar. But it's a nice place to visit every now and then.
As my luck would have it I won a pair of tickets to see the Spokane Chiefs take on the Tri-city Americans tomorrow night at the arena. Since I'm going to be out of town I gave them to my friend Julie. She's our NAC instructor at work and she's really a great person! So I figured she and her husband might like a date night. I hope they have fun!! :o)
School is going well. I can see the end is near... finally. I've struggled for the last couple of years because I have my goals in mind and, up until last year, they were not coming to fruition. I found a great opportunity to go back to school online through Sandy from volunteer services at Spokane Police Dept. She was my blessing in disguise because she forwarded info about Kaplan University-online when I most needed it! Here I am, less than a year later, and nearly done with my bachelor's degree. Next step... Master's degree!! I'll make it there soon enough!
Well, I better finish packing. George will be done with work in a bit, so I need to be ready to get out the door when he gets home. If he's done at 2130 like he says he will be, then we'll leave at about 2200, getting us in Omak around 0130. Hmph! Late night... rough on me nowadays! Oh well, it's all in good company! This is a picture of Grand Coulee Dam, which is on the way home to Omak. George and I did the touristy thing last summer and stopped and took pictures of the dam on the way home one weekend. Also, there's a cute pic of Madeleine flashing a smile. I couldn't help it... she's adorable!
Okay, leaving now! Bye!
