Okay, so note to self... sunblock goes on ALL uncovered parts of the body. Let's just say that my back is still hurting nearly a week later! And another note to self... do not... and I repeat, do NOT slough all of the peeling skin off at the blistering phase! I woke up this morning feeling like I had the Sahara desert on my back. It was so incredibly dry, and I could feel every single crack in my skin back there. Admittedly, that was not one of my smarter moves. But hey, I take that as a lesson learned!
Now that that's out of the way, here are some pics from our weekend.
I have to tell you that I had tears in my eyes when Madeleine rode the helicopters with Tamieka all by herself. I rode the other kid rides with her earlier, but this one was a kids-only ride. No moms or dads could go on it. So Tamieka offered to take Madeleine on the helicopters. The guy running the ride told me he would stop it if at any point Tamieka or Madeleine wanted to stop. They went around quite a few times and then Madeleine was done. But I came to the stark realization that my little girl is growing up and becoming more and more independent!
My favorite pic is of Madeleine asleep on Grandma. Her little face was squooshed and it was just adorable!
Okay, more to come soon!
