We missed church today. Yup, we overslept. That really bums me out because today was stake conference. We got up at 7:00 am and I tried to reset the alarm for 7:30. In my sleepy slumber, I kept hitting the "nap" button, so I gave up trying to reset it. I asked George to reset it, but he didn't get up, and I must have fallen back asleep before realizing it. So, we woke up at 9:00, conference started at 10:00, leaving us little time for 3 people to get ready. Dang!
So, while we were home all day, we decided to watch the Work and the Glory trilogy. What a FANTASTIC set of movies! We borrowed those from George's parents, so we're now going to have to buy them for ourselves.
Last night I went to Blockbuster and rented a movie... or so that was the plan. I ended up taking advantage of the 4 for $20.00 deal, so I came out with 4 new movies, PLUS one rental. The rental I chose was "Pirates of the Great Salt Lake." It has Kirby Heyborne, who is famous for having directed movies and acted in movies such as the RM, Singles Ward, etc. So, I figured this would be a good one. How wrong I was. That was the most ridiculous movie I've ever seen. I love "dumb" comedies, but this was too dumb for me to appreciate. I was really disappointed. In fact, the only really funny thing about it was the pained expression on George's face for having to watch it. I didn't want to just turn it off because we paid money to rent it. So we watched it and then agreed I will never be allowed to rent movies by myself again. LOL If, for some reason, you don't believe me, go rent it. You'll see just what I mean when I say it's dumb. It's not Napoleon Dynamite or Dumb and Dumber-dumb... those movies are hilarious. I'm talking not-worth-the-time-or-money dumb. Oh yeah, and there's profanity in it, which made me mad because Kirby Heyborne is a member and a returned missionary. He should be choosing better roles, in my opinion.
Okay, that's enough about that. Good night!

Oh I love the work & the glory! I don't think I saw the last one though.
Have you tried blockbuster online? You get movies overnighted to you and can customize your plan and shop right online. Netflix is good too, but blockbuster has more new movies I've found.
We'll have to borrow the Work and the Glory too! There have been a few times that I have gone to Blockbuster to rent a movie and come home with 3 or 4 previously viewed! Except when I do that I usually don't end up renting one, unless there was a specific movie that I was supposed to rent. Probably half of our movies are previously viewed! :) Missed you guys at conference yesterday!
