I'm in the market for a sewing machine. I guess I never thought there was so much to sewing machines, so I'm a tad bit overwhelmed by the whole shopping experience! And who pays $3000.00 for a sewing machine?? Seriously, people. I've found one at Sears that I like, and I've read all good reports on it. And, to top it off, one facebook friend said she thinks it's a good machine, based on the information provided. It seems to be a good machine for beginners and intermediates alike. So, tomorrow George and I are going to go do some more comparative shopping and see what we come up with. :) He doesn't know it yet... but that's the fun of it! he he he he
Anyway, if you are interested in giving me your opinion on the machine I'm looking at, it's the Kenmore Drop-in Bobber Sewing Machine 18221 at Sears. Any other information on a good beginner's machine, I'm all ears! I basically want something that has a lot of different stitch patterns for cute borders on quilts and stuff (hearts, swirls, circles, etc.), and I want one that can handle multiple types of projects (blankets, quilts, hemming, etc.) Oh, and I don't want to get something that I would just have to upgrade later on. Not that I anticipate becoming a sewing pro... well, you know what I mean. :)

Man I wish I could sew! Sorry I'm clueless when it comes to sewing machines. Goodluck!
I have a sewing machine & my mother-in-law gave it to me and she wanted to keep it & give me her old loud one haha...and my friend borrowed it and loved it. I really want to get it set up so I can just sew, but yeah I have no clue or space to do so :o(. I don't know anything about sewing machines haha!
