100th Post!

It took me a while, but I finally made it. So, in following tradition (okay, maybe not so much tradition, but following Crystyne and Maryanne), I'm going to write 100 things about myself that you might find interesting. Enjoy!

1.) I was born in Omak, WA.
2.) I graduated from high school in June, 1998.
3.) I moved to Spokane in Sept., 1998 and lived 2 apt complex buildings away from George but never knew him.
4.) I went to SFCC to study Chemical Dependency Counseling, but didn't finish.
5.) I've worked in everything from fast food to hotel front desk and security, truss designer to delivery driver, and now in a nursing home.
6.) I am currently a social worker for the elderly.
7.) I am working on my BS degree in Forensic Psychology.
8.) I plan to continue my education and get my master's degree.
9.) I have an AAS degree in Law Enforcement.
10.) I would still love to be a police officer if it were in "my" plans.
11.) I have been married for almost 7 years (May 3) to my wonderful husband.
12.) George proposed to me on my birthday and we got married on his birthday. Before we ever met, George's dad had a dream that George would marry someone with a name that his dad would have trouble pronouncing. Ree-ann-un.
13.) We had Madeleine 4 years and 5 days after we got married. :)
14.) I knew in high school I wanted a daughter named Madeleine.
15.) I have names picked out for 7 children, should we have that many. They are Madeleine, George, Victorhia, Quillyn, Alexandrhia, Grant and Nicholas.
16.) I was voted the Best Offensive Player in softball in high school.
17.) I had a perfect batting average all 3 years I played high school softball.
18.) I was a 2-year recipient of the John Philip Sousa Award in high school band.
19.) I lettered every year of high school, and in middle school for all of my band and sports participation.
20.) I am really, REALLY retentive about proper spelling.
21.) I always made it to the final rounds of spelling bees in school and FBLA.
22.) I'll never forget having incorrectly spelled "brainchild" when I thought the judge said "bringchild." I even repeated the word as "bringchild" and the judge nodded for me to proceed.
23.) I can curl my bottom lip under and flare my nostrils out.
24.) I started playing clarinet at 12 years of age, and then the trombone at 14. I was first chair on both instruments in middle and high school band, as well as the Okanogan Valley Orchestra (trombone). Then I learned to play other instruments as needed to fill in where necessary in band.
25.) I received the "Making It Happen" Award in high school, but never knew what it was about. I was too busy making statements about which preppy student would receive the award, so I wasn't paying any attention until my name was called.
26.) I bought my cat Sparkles for $20.00 from a lady at Omak Wal-Mart who needed money to feed her daughter. The little girl told me her name is Sparkles and that I couldn't change it. Sparkles, it is!
27.) Jacob is the only kitten from Sparkles' one litter that I kept.
28.) Gray cats are my favorite, especially long hair gray cats!
29.) There are some words I can never keep straight. Is it grAy, or grEy?!
30.) I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Dec. 10, 2000, and confirmed Dec. 17, 2000.

32.) I am a 3rd degree brown belt in Kenpo Karate.
33.) I would give almost anything to be able to go back to karate, but it's so expensive.
34.) I can shoot a gun in the 93rd percentile. Look out, target!!
35.) I own my own guns. One was my grandpa's service revolver in law enforcement, the other I purchased when I was a security officer.
36.) When I first saw George, I pointed him out to my friend LeeAnn and told her, "That's a guy I could never date." Look at us now!

41.) I play in the Perfection-NOTS band in the 4th of July parade in Cd'A every year.
42.) I would love to get back into the SFCC community band again. If only I had time!!
43.) Music is what defines me. I can't imagine life without the ability to play music.
44.) I once played "Sondra" and a friend played "Steve" at the Doubletree Hotel during an FBLA conference here in town. We played a nasty trick on a rival school, luring them out of their rooms to set them up for other tricks.
45.) I have kicked entire Christmas parties out of hotels when I was a security supervisor.
46.) My nickname at work is Kazoo, as I act as the facility "conscience" and the Director of Nursing (who used to be my office-mate) is nicknamed Dumb-Dumb. Yes, I'm primarily his conscience.
47.) I would love to travel to Ireland and Scotland.
48.) If I could be born in a different era, I would choose the 1920's for the big band music!
49.) I used to bring home stray animals on a constant basis growing up. We always had cats and dogs around.
50.) I once bent the door of an abandoned travel trailer up to rescue 2 cats. They went home with me, which was about 2 miles away. We kept 1 (Mocha) and gave the other (White Socks) to a family friend.
51.) Mocha just passed away about a year ago. She was almost 20 years old. :)
52.) I love animals, but would never have rodents (except my 1 guinea pig, Penelope), lizards, snakes, no arachnids, blech! Just dogs and cats for me.
53.) I always have a song going through my head.
54.) Likewise, I *almost* always have a radio or cd on.
55.) I love to hear Madeleine sing songs! The sweetest sound ever!

60.) George and I are working toward paying our house and car off early.
61.) We have no credit cards. Never have. Never will.
62.) I do not dye my hair. Though I may start in the next few years with as many grays as I have.
63.) I love to play softball!! Especially pitcher and left field/left center. The best rush is running after a ball and catching it just in the knick of time!
64.) I took a tennis class in college and the instructor told me I should have been on the school team. I am surprisingly good at it, and I can serve like a pro! Or at least, used to!
65.) I like running, except when I get tired.
66.) I used to like to write... not since going back to get my BS degree though. Too much writing!
67.) I love to take hot showers and baths.
68.) I do not like to dance. I feel awkward. Always have.
69.) I never used to like sewing, but took up a recent interest when my aunt showed me how to do certain sewing projects.
70.) I just bought myself a sewing machine a couple months ago. :)
71.) I love bright colors!
72.) I am an incurable optimist. No matter how bad it is, it could ALWAYS be worse!
73.) I love shoes!
74.) I don't love feet!! Except Madeleine's. :)
75.) I wanted to be a band teacher in high school, but decided against it because of the lack of support music programs get. Sports first, everything else second.
76.) I think I'm pretty funny. Actually, hilarious! :) Ha!
77.) I love to laugh until I cry.
78.) My favorite movie of all time is the Princess Bride. But I also love the Notebook, Enchanted, Spiderman series, X-Men series, Nights In Rodanthe. Any romance, comedy, action, or combination of those.
79.) When my braces come off, I will have had them for over 2 years.
80.) My favorite flower is lilacs.

82.) I am fascinated by what sets criminals apart from the rest of society.
83.) I am NOT a numbers cruncher. Finances and business bore me. Stock market? Couldn't tell you even one thing about why it's so crucial to today's economy!
84.) I love to sing. With the radio, in the choir, in duets/trios/quartets, in the shower, you name it!
85.) I love the rain! I love running in it, playing in it, whatever.
86.) My biggest fear is drowning in my car in a body of water.
87.) I should be working on homework right now...
88.) I have no problem laughing at myself when I make a fool of myself.
89.) If I could relive any portion of my life, I would take the opportunity. There's a portion that I would change if I could. But it's also molded me into the person I am today.
90.) I am currently working on my family history so I can take names to the temple.
91.) I am the only member of my family (that I know of!) who is a member of the Church.
92.) I have an unwaivering testimony of my Church. I know it's true!
93.) I love short, sassy hair cuts. Especially Paula's!!
94.) My mom and I are almost exactly alike. We frequently "Woo-hoooo" each other across ends of a store to embarrass the other.
95.) I love striking up conversation with strangers. Recently, I talked to an older gentleman in Costco about his children. Also, I struck up conversation with a lady in the elevator at Deaconess.
96.) I love elderly people! But I used to think they were sweet and innocent... only until I began working in a nursing home. They can be pretty cunning!
97.) I have the best husband ever! I could put him in a room with hundreds of women of all shapes, sizes, colors, personalities, etc. and he would walk to the other end of the room just to see me. Not even looking at the other women.
98.) I love the show Intervention on A&E.
99.) Peppermint Metro Water is one of my favorite post-workout treats.
100.) In high school, my trombone's name was Frankie, and my clarinet's name was Isabelle. I don't currently have names for my trombone and clarinet that I have now. Nor for my flute or piano. I should get on that...
101.) Here's a bonus! I love photography and am working towards getting a professional grade camera to work with. :)

There it is... Rhiannon in a nut shell. I hope you enjoyed it!

Here's a picture of Madeleine and I curling our bottom lips under. Like mother, like daughter. Lucky girl!!

I was bee-bopin' along, listing to the your music on your blog, while reading this post, (got to #89) when Cooper fliped the swich on the power strip. Blast!

Anyways, I loved your post! Some things I knew about you, and others were great to learn about you.

Like the spelling thing. Remember the email I sent you once with TONS of mis-spelled words? I laughed about it while writing it, and still do when I think of it. (See laughing right now.) I thought it was pretty clever, if I do say so myself!

What was that water you like? I've never heard of it.

Love ya Ree-ann-un! Have a great day!

Oh, and PS, I voted for Madeliene (sp) on the cutiest baby contest. That picture was really cute!

You are so cute! I agree Gray or Grey??? Every time I write or type that word out I second guess myself LOL. Maybe that's an ocd thing I have...I used to count stairs also..not so much anymore...When I got to the one about always having a song in your head...I had one in my head the whole time I was reading this LOL! I was like ME TOO! ;o) I LOVE to sing soooooooo much that when I don't I get depressed! I find it helps in stressful situations too...when I am losing it I will sing a song (hymn usually...) and never fails I feel better. It was nice to get to know you better & realize we are A LOT alike! Oh & when I was at my karaoke thing Friday I invited a girl that was all by herself to sit with us & at 1st she said she was ok...and then she ended up joining us ;o) Made me feel really good. I find people like the friendly approach ;o)
