Now, I know this will sound lame to some, but bear with me here.
Today, I got off work early. I had all of my stuff for today and tomorrow done by 1:00 pm, so I got to leave. Thanks, Jake, appreciate that offer after stand-up.
Anyway.... George was off work too because of his sprained ankle. They thought they had some light-duty stuff for him to do, but turns out they don't have enough. So, he has a random week off from work.
What did we do with our time off? Why, yard work, of course! Yup, cleaned some of the back yard up and took two loads to the dump. One load was to empty out dad Leppert's trailer so we could use it. We took the old stumps and such to the Waste To Energy Plant out by Geiger.
Now, here comes the cool part. We got the car and trailer backed into the bay to unload the trailer. Off to my left, I noticed this gigantic claw-like thing reaching down and grabbing garbage, then transferring it to another section of the building. To clarify, it looked like one of those toy machines with the claw that you maneuver down for a toy or candy. Yeah, pretty cool, huh!! But wait! It gets better! Enter large bulldozer from the rear. This bulldozer was barreling through there, full-speed ahead, pushing piles of junk together to make more room.
While all of this was going on, I was completely mesmerized!! George thought it was funny. :) And neat that his wife is so into stuff like that. Now, don't ask me why, but I was like a little school girl in a candy shop. It was so fascinating!!
Much to George's dismay, I saw the sign as we were entering advertising tours of the facility. You guessed it... I soooo want to take a tour!! Any takers??! It didn't smell *that* bad in there. Tolerable, even being pregnant. I seriously want to get some people together and tour the facility! And, if allowed, I'm sure the kids would love it too!
So, what do you say??! Pretty cool, eh??
