Why?

Why must time fly by so quickly? Seriously... my little boy is no longer little. He had an appt earlier this week and he's now 9 lbs 4 oz, and 20" long. At birth, he was 7 lbs 8 1/2 oz, and 18 1/2" long. :/ He's almost as long as Madeleine was when she was born! LOL

To date, Little George eats between 4 and 6 oz at each feeding every 2-3 hours. He has a couple 0-3 month onesies that are too short, so we have to pull them in order to snap them. File those away!

He has begun to coo and jabber, which is just adorable! I love just listening to him "talk" while he's checking stuff out. And Madeleine loves to sit and talk to him, telling him all about what's around them, how much she loves him, all about mommy and daddy, etc. :) She's getting used to being one of two now, which was a bit tough for a couple weeks. She's not as lippy as she was. Thankfully! I HATED that stage!!

I'm so grateful for the blessings in my life. I absolutely love my husband, and together we have two wonderful children! We just paid off our car last week, which was about one year early. Our goal, as a family, is to become debt-free in less than five years. That means paying off my student loan and paying off our house. It's a gigantic task, but we know we can do it. I could not ask for anything more! I'm so thankful my husband and I are on the same page when it comes to goals within our family and with our finances. He keeps me grounded. :)

Speaking of goals, I have set a couple new ones since the beginning of the year. I want to run Bloomsday in May. I've wanted to for several years, but never got up the energy to train for it. So, this year's the year. Also, Kara and I have set a goal to run a 1/2 marathon together. Since she lives in the Seattle area, she and I are going to train separately and then run it together. :) I can't wait! She and I grew up across the street from each other, and we were always inseparable. I don't like that she lives far away from me, but that's life. And I have Maryanne here. :) I just adore her! :) Maryanne's an awesome friend. :)
