Our baby girl turned 4 this month. Time sure flies. We wanted to do something special for her because... well, quite frankly, she deserves it, and... yeah.... she deserves it! So, my mom and I decided to look at Pattison's Skating Rink for pricing and offers. We were able to reserve a room there, get 8 kids in to skate for free, we had a large pizza, 2 pitchers of soda (we chose Sierra Mist and Rootbeer), and they also provide all decorations and place settings. They set up and clean up everything. Include 4 hours of skating time, and an announcement over the PA of your child's birthday party, and it was a grand total of $80.00!! Amazing! And the service was fantastic! They were all so helpful and easy to work with. We'll definitely be returning, and I would encourage any of you to utilize them, as they were just that good to us!!
Madeleine didn't get much skating time in. Actually, she didn't get any skating time in. She got up on her skates, then she nearly fell (daddy was holding her so he saved her). She was done after that. But she was perfectly content hanging out playing with everyone and watching the rest of us skate. We'll try again in a few months. :)
Here are some pictures of her party!
All in all, it was a great day, and everyone seemed to have fun. We are so grateful for everyone that came to her party and made her feel special! Oh, and the sheet cake with the crown was from Costco, but the Cinderella cake was made by none other than Yours Truly. Yes, I put on my creative hat (along with my sister-in-law, Shauna, who just gave me some pointers along the way) and decided to make her cake. The Costco cake was a back-up plan in case Cinderella didn't work out. Well, I must say that it turned out better than I expected!!! And Madeleine loved it! I think from now on that's what I'll do.
Happy birthday Princess Madeleine!! We love you!!
