Last night Madeleine and I went to Jeff and Crystyne's new house for their open house. To say the least, their house is beautiful! They've really done a great job on everything there! So, while we were heading up there, we were driving up Cedar Rd. Madeleine was obviously looking out the window during this trip because she kept saying, "Mommy driving up and up and up and up..." She was pretty funny. :)
Then we got to Crystyne's after a bit of a diversion... I went to Cedar Ln. which is a dead end. No worries! I got us turned around and headed in the right direction. We pulled up in front of their house, and Madeleine said, "Mommy, we're at Kissy's house?" I said, "Yup, we're at Kissy's house!" So she kept repeating "Kissy" while we were walking up the driveway. So, translation: Kissy=Crystyne. LOL
I'm so glad we have the rain today! I'm kind of changing the way I view the seasons. I used to love summer. Now, I find myself happy to see fall coming. I love spring, so I guess I'm an in-betweener for the seasons. I enjoy the in-between of hot and cold weather. Strange how we change over the years.
Speaking of which, my developmental psychology class talks all about how we change over the years. I'm really excited about that because I've always wondered what affects change in one's life. And my abnormal psychology class is just plain cool! We have a 3-part project for the final, so one section is due the 3rd week, one the 6th week, and the final (combination of all) is due the 9th week of class. I'm doing mine on schizophrenia, which is one of the six mental illnesses we could choose from. I'm so dang excited!
George is making all of us breakfast right now, which is nice. I love Sunday's and how relaxed they are. I'm almost ashamed to admit that we didn't crawl out of bed until after 10:00! Okay, maybe not ashamed. We never get to sleep and lounge that long, so it was a much-needed break!
Jon came over last night and helped George with the living room. I came home from Kissy's to find them sitting on the porch drinking root beer. It was obvious that they enjoyed the time together that they had, so I almost wanted to turn around and take Madeleine somewhere else. This might have been the first time Jon and George have been together and not gotten themselves into trouble! LOL I know George enjoyed having some time with Jon. Life gets in the way and time with friends is limited, so it's harder these days to find the time! Thank you, Jon, for your help yesterday!!
Okay, I should probably eat my breakfast and get ready for choir this morning! Talk to you soon!
