Valentine's Day

I just realized I never posted on how we spent Valentine's Day. First off, George and I decided we would trade babysitting with his sister, Shauna. She and her fiance, Rob, wanted to go to dinner and they didn't have anyone to watch the kids, so we decided a trade would work perfectly!

First, we went to Shauna's apartment so she and Rob could go to dinner. While we were there, George told me I could go get my hair cut. Since I was long overdue for a cut, I took him up on that offer. I went to the Valley Mall Mastercuts where there was a ton of people. I decided to go to the other salons to see how many people were waiting and what their prices are. I'm not a huge fan of asking the price of something, only to walk away because it's too expensive. So, I went into one place that is a salon and a beauty supply store and I compared prices of products. Mastercuts was way more reasonable (and I've gone to the Northtown Mastercuts forever), I figured their cutting prices would be about the same comparatively.

Back to Mastercuts I went! And boy, was I happy with the result! The lady totally listened to what I wanted and did exactly that!

After spending nearly 2 hours at the mall, I went back to rescue George from the 4 kids. He was having a great time with them! Then, shortly after, Shauna and Rob showed up and we got to go to dinner.

We went to Azteca, which is our favorite restaurant! I received a gift card from my in-laws for Azteca for my birthday, so it was a good option for a date that night. George and I both had nachos and they were soooo good! We had a nice, quiet and relaxing dinner together.

After that, we drove to the temple and sat on the grounds for awhile. It was nice to just be able to sit and talk with no other noise around.

Overall, we had a great night! It's always nice to get away for a bit and just relax and enjoy each others' company. But, of course, we were thrilled to be back with Madeleine when we got back to Shauna's. :)
