Random Stuff

So, yesterday George and I went to the gym together and had a great workout! We did our weights first, as that is what's recommended by trainers, and then we did our cardio. We were both on the Gazelle-type machine (my personal favorite!) when I noticed the lady in front of us on the treadmill. The treadmill has a TV on it! Like, 4 of them do! So, George hopped on a treadmill and discovered that you can get any cable channel on it and you just plug in your headset to hear. I finished what I was doing and then got on the treadmill and walked incredibly fast while watching a show on MSNBC. It was some crime documentary that we don't get on dish network, so I was pretty stoked about that! Guess what? The treadmill is fairly appealing now. No, not for running, silly. For walking incredibly fast while catching up on a show! Ha!! I love technology!

Maryanne already posted the pictures we had taken with Ali and Betty Sue Vincent from Season 5 Biggest Loser, but I just want to reiterate how incredibly awesome they both are! They were so approachable and easy to talk to. Oh, and have I said gorgeous??! After hearing her talk on Friday evening, I finally had a fire lit under me to do the work and pay for the results. One thing she said that clicked in my head was, "Believe it, be it!" In other words, if you believe you can do something then you can do it. And you can be what you want to be. I'm so glad I went there to see her, and with two of my best friends. Corlyn is really an inspiration to me, having already lost 100 lbs herself! She's amazing. And Maryanne is such a great support system and friend. I know that she and I can meet our goals together because we're accountable to each other. And I don't want to drag her down from reaching her goal. So, let it be known that we are both working hard at losing weight, and I'm not going to let anyone stop me from reaching my goal.

This is Corlyn, Maryanne and I with Ali Vincent.

And this is all of us with Ali's mom, Betty Sue.

I also want to add that, in all of the seasons that I've watched the Biggest Loser, Ali and Betty Sue were my absolute favorites, and it was devastating when they were voted off originally. It just goes to show that hard work pays off!

Good luck! You know, my sister and her friend were each others support systems. If one of them didn't get up in the morning to go to the gym together, they would have to pay the one that did go $100. Not saying you should set the penality so high, but something like that might be good to keep yourself motivated to go.
