I was in the bathroom blowdrying my hair and Sparkles was sitting on the bathroom sink reaching out to me with her paw. She wanted me to pet her, so I'd stop periodically to scratch her head, chin, neck and back, and then go about my business again. This went on about three times, and I guess she'd had enough of being second rate to the blowdryer, because the next thing I knew, she had jumped up on my right shoulder and curled up in my neck. She somehow managed to maneuver her jump so she missed my arm and the blowdryer, making a perfect landing! Awwww... then she turned her head so her cheek was against my cheek, and we just got to love each other. She was purring like crazy! Such a sweet girl! I've had her since I moved to Spokane. She was my $20.00 Omak Wal-Mart purchase. Some lady was trying to make money to feed her young daughter, so she was selling her kitten at Wal-Mart. I'm such a softy for cats and dogs!!
So, then Jake showed up, and he was NOT happy about the exclusive attention that was being given. *hmph* He was circling around my feet, and then finally got up on the toilet. He's kind of a fat cat, so jumping to my shoulder is not an option. :) Poor guy! But, not to be outdone, he sat on the toilet while I showered him with love and affection too!
