Always Thinking...Could Be Good Or Bad!

Madeleine LOVES Capri Sun. She could drink it day in and day out, if we would let her. Thankfully, common sense takes over and we expect her to drink more water. In fact, we rarely, if ever, buy Capri Sun because of the high sugar content. My mom brought her a whole box of them this last weekend when they came to town to visit... thanks, Mom!

Anyway, Madeleine has already had two of them today, and she is now requesting a third one. Fine... if you drink a full glass (not kid glass, adult glass!) of water. George, bless his heart, gave her the glass and told her she needs to drink it. So, what did my little Sweet Pea do? Why, she brought me her glass of water, of course! She said in a very sweet, innocent tone, "Mommy, can you drink this water for me, please?" Puppy dog eyes and all. And guess what. Negative, Ghost Rider! LOL I asked her why she wanted me to drink the water, and she very informatively told me that she needs it gone so Daddy will give her a Capri Sun. Ah, yes... she's a bright little girl, isn't she? :) What a turkey. Needless to say, after an hour, she still has about 3/4 of her water left in her glass. I just gave her 10 minutes to finish it or there's no Capri Sun tonight. That look of panic that we're so familiar with rushed over her cute little face. Good thing Mommy and Daddy aren't softies... HA! Who are we kidding?! But still, no Carpi Sun until the water's gone.

Then, I decided to start a load of laundry before going to bed. Madeleine loves to help with laundry, so I told her we were going to separate the whites and wash those tonight. She had to make a quick potty stop on her big girl potty, but not to be deterred. She gave me instructions while peeing. :) Such a smart girl!

After she got herself all wiped up, I got her potty dumped in the toilet and cleaned out, and her clothes back on, she continued to help separate laundry.

Again, always the thinker, she took her ABSOLUTE FAVORITE pink dress with white polka dots on it and said, "This has white on it, so I'll put it in the laundry pile." Honestly, that floored me. What do you say to that??! I mean, yeah, she was right. There are white polka dots on her dress, so she rationalized that it should go in the laundry. Much to her dismay, I removed it while she wasn't looking. :) Or so I thought...

In the end, it didn't make it into this load of laundry, but it will in the colors load next. :) I love that she's so excited to help, and if we end up with pink whites, well, the Distribution Center is just a few short miles away.

Her personality is really starting to come out isn't it? How are you doing with this pregnancy? Any morning sickness?

Nope, no morning sickness to speak of! Itchy boobs (ugh!), heartburn and a swollen midsection are all I'm having to deal with.
