Silverwood Trip

Our family went to Silverwood on Saturday, July 10 in celebration of my older brother's birthday. It was a great day to go because it was sooooo quiet and slow! There was a little wind and that must have deterred a lot of people. So we didn't have to wait in line much. :)

We spent the majority of the day at Boulder Beach enjoying the sun and water. Each year we rent a cabana and just enjoy the day!

When we had to vacate the cabana at 7:00 we took everything to the car, and then it was onto the rides. My favorite ride of all is the Corkscrew, but wouldn't you know it... it was closed for the day! Bummer! Oh well. We went on all of the water rides without having to wait in line. Our last water ride was Thunder Rapids, which consisted of myself, mom, Mike, Madeleine, my niece Tamieka, and some guy we didn't know. I introduced the group to him, but I can't remember his name now... anyway, Madeleine must have been in the hot seat because she got SOAKED! And she loved it! Well, until the sun set and she was cold. My poor girl. She still enjoyed herself. :)

At the end of the night George and I were looking for a ride to go on together. We ended up going on Timber Terror, and of course, in the front seat! I love riding coasters up front!! We had a great time, and only waited in line for 15 minutes.

Overall, it was a great day! We ended up getting home after midnight because we stopped at Shari's restaurant on the way home in Cd'A.

Just a few notes; the cute girl with the curly blonde hair is my niece, Tamieka. The two little boys George is holding are our baby George and his 2nd cousin, Ronan (my cousin Ryan's youngest son). Grandpa Omak got suckered into the water with the girls quite a bit, as well as on some kiddie rides.

Here are some pics from the day:
