A First For Madeleine

About a month ago, George, Madeleine and I went to Omak for grandpa Mike's surprise 50th birthday party. Since it was a surprise, we opted to stay in a motel instead of waking up early on a Saturday and driving for 3 hours to Omak. And since Madeleine has never stayed in a motel or hotel (there are no hotels in Omak, only motels), we thought it would be fun to take her to one.





We also went bowling, which Madeleine loved! She was quite a little ham at the bowling alley!

All in all, we had a great weekend, and managed to find some fun things to do in Omak. And grandpa's birthday was fun too! Now, if only we had known about the indoor swimming pool when we packed for the trip... we just dunked our toes in the pool and hot tub, and Madeleine was the highlight of all of the travelers' nights! They just thought she was the cutest! Who can disagree with that?!
